Adriannis Suarez, Director of Land Acquisition at Birdsong Housing Partners, has been selected as one of Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees for 2026. The annual award spotlights Central Florida’s standout young professionals—people who are making real impact in their industries and the communities around them.
For anyone who’s worked alongside Adriannis, the recognition comes as no surprise. She brought a diverse background in civil engineering, land planning, site development, and project management to Birdsong when she joined the team. Prior to Birdsong, she held key roles at KPM Franklin and Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, developing the kind of well-rounded expertise that is rarely found in a single professional.
She’s a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her technical background—everything from sustainable stormwater management to sediment and erosion control—gives her a sharp eye when it comes to evaluating potential sites and moving acquisitions forward.

At Birdsong, Adriannis plays a central role in the work that matters most to us: identifying and securing land for affordable housing communities across Florida. That process is the starting point for everything we do—from development and construction to long-term property management—and having someone with her technical depth leading it makes a real difference.
This year’s 40 Under 40 class represents professionals from across a wide range of industries, including banking, construction, healthcare, real estate, technology, and more. Being recognized among that group says a lot about the caliber of work Adriannis brings to the table every day.
“My journey has shown me that success isn’t defined by the obstacles you face, but by your willingness to keep moving forward despite them. Growing up in extreme poverty, being able to help families who once reflected my own story is a true full-circle moment. I’m proud to work alongside a team at Birdsong Housing that is committed to making a real difference in people’s lives.”
Congratulations, Adriannis. Well earned.
