Birdsong Housing & Park Place Behavioral to offer affordable, permanent, supportive housing for individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis

Park Place Behavioral Health Care and co-developer Birdsong Housing Partners along with the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners, the City of Kissimmee, and other partner organizations  celebrate the groundbreaking of Dillingham Apartments, a new permanent, supportive, affordable housing development located at 501 N Dillingham Avenue in Kissimmee. The development will offer 30 affordable apartments for individuals with special needs, earning 22-60% of Area Median Income.

Dillingham Apartments will have twenty-two one-bedroom apartments, and eight, two-bedroom apartments and will feature a community area, consisting of a visitor’s lobby, combined computer/classroom/ community room, lounge/entertainment room, case manager and property manager offices, and bicycle lockers and green space available to all residents. Residents will have access to a variety of supportive services offered onsite by peer specialists and a case manager provided by Park Place Behavioral Health Care, as well as access to agency resources and support for navigating all of the social services available in the community to ensure that the residents thrive within the community.

The project is slated for completion in late 2023-early 2024 with anticipated occupancy in spring 2024. For eligibility and leasing information, individuals will be able to connect with GoTPI in early fall 2023.
